A new revision of the ACC-24E2A (603398-10x) and the ACC-24E2 (603397-10x) cards have been released to our production department.

Problem:

Delta Tau Data Systems, Inc. has released the new ACC-24E2A (603398-10x) and ACC-24E2 (603397-10x) cards to our production department. These new cards have been redesigned to improve the robustness of the products.

The older revision piggy back 2-axis expansion cards will not be compatible with the new baseboard design of the newer revision because this connection has been moved for improved signal quality. Likewise the new revision piggy back 2-axis expansion cards will not be compatible with the older revision baseboard of the ACC-24E2A and ACC-24E2.

Solution:

The new design is 100% backward compatible with the older revisions in terms of:
• Operation with both the UMAC Turbo CPU and MACRO CPU
• Addressing with both the UMAC Turbo CPU and MACRO CPU
• Field wiring connections to Encoders, Amplifers, TUVW, Flags, and EQU outputs

One of the major changes to the card designs is the placement connection of the piggy back 2-axis expansion card to the baseboard of the ACC24E2A or ACC24E2.

The new revision of the ACC-24E2A has 603398-104 (rev4) designation.

The new revision of the ACC-24E2 has the 603398-104 (rev4) designation.
