AP ROBOTICS

ARTICULATED ARM
FEATURES

Two or more servo powered axes; modular construction easily permits a 3rd base rotation axis; stiff & precise epicyclic reducers;  a unique constant velocity mechanism which maintains the pick-up head in a horizontal position; maximum arm speed is120 degrees per second which corresponds to3000 RPM for the motors.

The model shown is AP60-4085, where:
60 represents the maximum load in pounds,
40 shows the X stroke in inches and
85 shows the Y stroke in inches.
By scaling the basic design, the payload      capabilities range from 5 to 300 pounds.

FLEXIBLE DESIGN

Drive: Brushless Servo Motors made by        Custom Servo Motors Inc., size NEMA 42.
Amplifiers: PWM servo amplifiers made by
Advanced Motion Controls Inc.110 V ac.
Controller: Delta Tau Data Systems Inc.        Programmable Multi-Axis Controller:PMAC  capable of commanding up to 8 axes of motion simultaneously with high level of sophistication. The 40 MHz CPU is capable of inverse kinematic calculations on-the-fly, which greatly simplifies the  programming chore.
